Autumn / Winter Interior Trends 2019

As the weather is cooling down, and we are entering Autumn, we thought we would share with you our top 5 interior trends for Autumn / Winter 2019, demonstrate how we are incorporating them into our interior design schemes, and how you can include these trends in your new home too! We have also included a few pieces of expert advice from our very own interior designer, Michelle, too.

1. According to Pantone, the colours for the Autumn/Winter season this year are rich tones, each ready to make a statement on their own but also to be used in conjunction with each other. We like to incorporate these colours into our interior design schemes as we feel that they create warmth and harmony in our completed homes, but also in your new homes too. In our first completed home at The Green, our interior designer has included a pop of pink into the open plan living/dining space in this wonderful property. Michelle explains that the pop of rich colour really stands out against the more neutral wall, adding colour depth to the room and a sense of warmth.

2. A trend which is continuing from Spring / Summer this year is nature. Bringing the outside in is becoming an increasingly popular trend which keeps reappearing season after season. This can be easily incorporated in your interior design schemes by simply adding in indoor plants stands says Michelle, or if you fancy more of a statement, you can include botanical prints in your cushions, throws or even your wallpaper to really help create that Scandinavian feel. In our completed home at The Green, we have given a subtle nod to this trend by adding small pots of greenery around the living space – understated yet impactful.

3. Refined glamour is another huge interior trend for this upcoming season. One which we absolutely love here at Heritage and we feel we most definitely have achieved in our latest completed home at The Green. This trend is all about sophisticated interior design and to achieve this using luxury materials and decorative details. It is clear to see we love our decorative yet sophisticated details, as we feel they really do make a house a home. Have a look below for inspiration for your guest bedroom.

4. Natural textiles are a huge trend for this upcoming season. These textiles add a touch of style and light to your home. This trend can be achieved through simple accessories, which we have done in our completed home at The Green. In the master en-suite, natural textiles have been added to the bed through a gorgeous neutral bed throw. You can guarantee this is a trend with longevity and will most definitely be worth the investment. Michelle comments that textural fabrics like Boucle are very on trend this season, and she has incorporated this trend into our completed home in pinks, greys and neutral tones layered effortlessly to create a welcoming space.

5. Feminine tones are huge this season, another trend which we absolutely adore! We think that this can be incorporated into your new home in both small and larger ways. You can simply update your cushions or throws with purchasing new ones in blush, dusty pink or bronze colours, or you could simply update your bed linen to incorporate these tones. This will instantly update your room! In this gorgeous living space below Michelle has incorporated feminine tones in subtle ways in the cushion details and accessories around the room, instantly giving the open-plan space a warm and inviting feel. Michelle has also acknowledged the circular trend on furniture in this room, buy adding in a curved Rico lounge chair to this room alongside a Bauhaus style side table.

We hope that our top 5 interior trends for this coming season have inspired you and provided you with some ideas to update your current home or to incorporate into your new home. Our interior designer Michelle has created an everyday elegance, livable luxury space at our completed home at the Green, where contemporary meets comfortable.
