Heritage Homes is more than a name. It is the definition of our commitment to building exceptional properties that will stand the test of time.
Welcome back to the first blog post of this brand new year, and decade for that matter! We wanted to use this blog post as a way of communicating what plans we have coming up for 2020, along with an update for our latest development; The Green.
We saw huge interest in The Green last year, where we now have sold a total of 30 properties, and we have another 15 reserved – ranging from stunning luxury five bedroom detached homes to our crescent of 3 bedroom 3 storey homes. But don’t worry…. we have a few remaining properties which can still be snapped up with competions from May onwards.
With the very current and topical subject of global warming and climate change, we also want to focus this year on the A energy rating of all of our homes at The Green. This rating puts our homes in the top 1% of all new homes in the UK which is a label we are very proud of. All of our homes at The Green are packed full of the latest eco-credentials which not only helps the environment, but helps you save on your energy bills too. Our homes are completed with:

As we are now well and truly in the festive spirit and we are only a few weeks from Christmas we thought we would put together a post on our favourite interior Christmas trends for the home this year to hopefully provide you with some inspiration for your new home this year!
First off, we are starting with the fluffy material trend. We love this trend as it immediately brings warmth to a home. This can be easily added to your interior décor through rugs or cushions, and this is not only a trend just for Christmas, this will take you right through the Winter adding that essential cosy feel to your new home.
Bright colours in the home is our next favourite Christmas trend this year. Striking colours such as emerald green, royal blue and pink are colours that are very much on trend this year. Couple these striking colours with some gorgeous golden accessories for Christmas and you are good to go!
Nature continues to be an interior design trend which is very popular and has continued this year into Christmas interior design schemes. Less is more with this trend, by adding a few touches of metallic and natural decorations to your already existing interior design scheme. This can be simply achieved through adding pinecones to your decorative displays for the festive period, or by creating natural table runners with greenery and twigs. We think this trend looks particularly great in a new home as it compliments modern interiors superbly, and keeps the space in your home feeling soft and inviting.
Lastly, bring in icy blues to your interior Christmas scheme! Blue is a very popular colour this year for Christmas in all shades and forms! Paired with whites, blue will look absolutely fantastic in your new home. A modern take on Christmas to match your new home perfectly, which can be easily achieved through blue ornaments, statement baubles for your tree or even in your decorative garlands.
We hope this post has provided you with some inspiration for your Christmas décor this year either in your new home, or adding to your existing scheme.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Cheers!

View Post »As the weather is cooling down, and we are entering Autumn, we thought we would share with you our top 5 interior trends for Autumn / Winter 2019, demonstrate how we are incorporating them into our interior design schemes, and how you can include these trends in your new home too! We have also included a few pieces of expert advice from our very own interior designer, Michelle, too.
1. According to Pantone, the colours for the Autumn/Winter season this year are rich tones, each ready to make a statement on their own but also to be used in conjunction with each other. We like to incorporate these colours into our interior design schemes as we feel that they create warmth and harmony in our completed homes, but also in your new homes too. In our first completed home at The Green, our interior designer has included a pop of pink into the open plan living/dining space in this wonderful property. Michelle explains that the pop of rich colour really stands out against the more neutral wall, adding colour depth to the room and a sense of warmth.
2. A trend which is continuing from Spring / Summer this year is nature. Bringing the outside in is becoming an increasingly popular trend which keeps reappearing season after season. This can be easily incorporated in your interior design schemes by simply adding in indoor plants stands says Michelle, or if you fancy more of a statement, you can include botanical prints in your cushions, throws or even your wallpaper to really help create that Scandinavian feel. In our completed home at The Green, we have given a subtle nod to this trend by adding small pots of greenery around the living space – understated yet impactful.
3. Refined glamour is another huge interior trend for this upcoming season. One which we absolutely love here at Heritage and we feel we most definitely have achieved in our latest completed home at The Green. This trend is all about sophisticated interior design and to achieve this using luxury materials and decorative details. It is clear to see we love our decorative yet sophisticated details, as we feel they really do make a house a home. Have a look below for inspiration for your guest bedroom.
4. Natural textiles are a huge trend for this upcoming season. These textiles add a touch of style and light to your home. This trend can be achieved through simple accessories, which we have done in our completed home at The Green. In the master en-suite, natural textiles have been added to the bed through a gorgeous neutral bed throw. You can guarantee this is a trend with longevity and will most definitely be worth the investment. Michelle comments that textural fabrics like Boucle are very on trend this season, and she has incorporated this trend into our completed home in pinks, greys and neutral tones layered effortlessly to create a welcoming space.
5. Feminine tones are huge this season, another trend which we absolutely adore! We think that this can be incorporated into your new home in both small and larger ways. You can simply update your cushions or throws with purchasing new ones in blush, dusty pink or bronze colours, or you could simply update your bed linen to incorporate these tones. This will instantly update your room! In this gorgeous living space below Michelle has incorporated feminine tones in subtle ways in the cushion details and accessories around the room, instantly giving the open-plan space a warm and inviting feel. Michelle has also acknowledged the circular trend on furniture in this room, buy adding in a curved Rico lounge chair to this room alongside a Bauhaus style side table.
We hope that our top 5 interior trends for this coming season have inspired you and provided you with some ideas to update your current home or to incorporate into your new home. Our interior designer Michelle has created an everyday elegance, livable luxury space at our completed home at the Green, where contemporary meets comfortable. Don’t forget, all of these wonderful interior trends are ready to view in our wonderful first home at The Green. You can pop into our sales centre 7 days a week to find out more information!

When only the best will do…
For a grand design feel in a stunning location, look no further than the Oakmere. Offering prestige, seclusion and tranquility with a south west facing garden and balcony to drink in the views over the 10th fairway of Exeter Golf Course.
We will be completing seven of these outstanding properties. The first of which are due for completion at the end of 2020 and there are numerous reasons why we think these homes simply cannot be beaten on quality or craftsmanship.
Ample open plan living space can be enjoyed on the ground floor, while upstairs 4 bedrooms with 4 en-suites are perfect for hosting guests or for your growing family. The master en-suite will have you not wanting to leave for days and the grand balcony overlooks both the garden and golf course beyond.
This sleek and spacious, yet welcoming, design really propels these homes to the forefront of modern living. Not only do these homes look and feel stylish, but every practicality has been realised. Parking is ample with a driveway and electric doors to the garage and all homes either sit within a gated community or have their own private gates.
Open-plan living wouldn’t be practical without a tucked away utility room and these really do make the chores feel like a pleasure.
The location of The Green is extremely sought after for many reasons, and combining this with the high end luxuries included in our Oakmere homes, you just can’t go wrong! Free standing VITRA bathroom suites, fully tiled floors, contemporary sleek kitchens and landscaped gardens are just a few of the details which make these homes truly outstanding.
We have already reserved two of these homes off-plan, so if you can’t get the Oakmere off your mind, ring our sales centre today to discover more!
