I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs Pope on a beautiful sunny day in May and over a cup of coffee had a lovely chat about big life changes and home comforts.
Mrs Pope moved into her luxury two bedroom apartment at The Chasse in April after selling her beautiful 300 year old period home in Topsham to move to our more energy efficient, brand new homes just down the road.
‘I was slightly concerned that I would not settle as it was a big move for me after having lived in my previous home for many years, but I did settle and I couldn’t believe just how quickly! It really is so lovely here. I stroll into Topsham town which takes around 10 minutes and I can’t wait to get back home!

Mr Roberts felt that ‘so many developers build three bedroom homes but not to a premium standard. We searched extensively to find a quality home. Many show homes at face value look wonderfully high specced but on closer inspection the items that make the homes special are all customer extras. Mrs Roberts wanted an accessible property close to amenities yet in a beautiful setting, ‘there aren’t many homes where you can be in the heart of the Devon countryside yet within 5 minutes you can be in the town centre shopping at Marks & Spencer’s or you can enjoy the scenic countryside drive to Exeter with its John Lewis etc.’
We are thrilled that Mr & Mrs Roberts have settled into their new home and to hear that ‘it is even better than we expected’ makes the whole team extremely proud.

I went to visit them on a beautiful sunny day in September and had a delightful afternoon talking all things property. I asked them what made Holland Park their home of choice. Mr Forrow felt that it was ‘purely down to the design both aesthetically and functionally. It is an ideal space for us in terms of layout and the flow of space fits our needs.
But its the overall look that is so beautifully done. The kitchens are so neat with simple, clean lines and the wall hung toilets and walk in shower enclosures add a real touch of class.
The quality of the fittings is a definite plus; Franke, Grohe, and Vitra to name but a few, these days you see so many other properties where fittings and fixtures are bought to a budget and it spoils the overall look.'
Mrs Forrow added that ‘having never seen a development of homes like this anywhere we worried that maybe by the time we were ready to move we might not be able to find anything similar and that wasn’t a risk we were willing to take.’
The other pluses for this garden loving couple is ‘the beautiful landscaping, such an exceptional mix of plants, shrubs and trees and lots of open space on the development. The development is perfectly located for access to the City either by car or via the new railway station at Newcourt Drive which has been fantastic.
We haven’t flown from Exeter airport yet but it certainly will be convenient for future holidays. We are thrilled with our new home, the attention to detail, specification and craftmanship really are exceptional.’
